New Site For Small Businesses

Small Business Resources

As a web developer specializing in sites for small businesses, I have found that often times, a situation arises where a great business idea moves an entrepreneur to set up a website to sell an innovative product or a service. However, having a limited budget creates a dilemma; a budget too small to pay a marketing firm to generate interest in the offer.

Marketing On a Tight Budget

Anyone that has researched advertising or marketing on the Internet will find out very quickly that if you want to get a website noticed, it costs a lot. Most of the time the cost is expressed in terms of money. However, that cash that marketing agencies charge is needed for them to be able to accomplish what it takes to get your site the traffic and customers that will be needed to get your product or service reaching success. You may be thinking, "But, wait! I don't have a ton of money to pour into my new venture." That's okay, it is simple to get your website noticed on the Internet. Notice that I said it was simple, I did not say effortless. It takes a good deal of work and forethought if you are going to take on the task of marketing your product or service on the Internet. If you have made the decision to do that though, you need to keep reading.

Web Tips for Small Businesses

I have noticed that many small businesses have talented owners that are very motivated and that do not mind hard work, they just need to know what to do to get results so they are not spinning their proverbial wheels. To help with the solution, I decided to create a website to regularly dispense relevant information to these individuals. The site is called Small Business Web Tips. Click this link to go there and find out more about what kinds of information it provides. However, I will summarize the purpose of the site here for convenience.

Small Business Web Tips is geared toward helping small business owners learn about things that are important to marketing a small business on the Internet. With so many tools and agencies, and "gurus" out there, it can be very challenging to soft through information. Since these are concepts that I have to keep up with because of the industry I work in, I decided to produce information about these concepts for others to benefit from while at the same time keeping my skills up-to-date.

The SBWT site will discuss a wide scope of topics related to marketing online including:

  • Social Media Marketing
