Purple Marshmallow Razorback Pajamas

Purple Marshmallow Razorback Pajamas
They're soft - I don't know about "comfy". They're unique (extremely), but does anybody buy em?

Well, the answer is no! They do not. In fact, these pajamas are virtually non-existent. And since they are virtually fiction, it makes sense that nobody buys them or searches for them.

Although razorback pajamas are not popular I think you'll find that the author of the page that the link in this sentence points to was making a point about, not pajamas, but search marketing.

See, what is the point of ranking for a phrase nobody is searching for? Let's say, your product is called "Erasails". Great, right! Well, in one sense it is. Since there are no such products called Erasails yet, then I am free to create a brand with it.

However, is anybody searching for that product? No. So why would you want to rank for it? Better yet, why would you pay to rank for it?

Now, let's say that the product Erasails is... hmmm.... ... how about a sail for a sail boat with images of erasers all over it. Yeah, yeah I know, kind of ridiculous. Yet, it serves to illustrate my point. Do you think anybody is searching for sailboat sails? Well, by the looks of the number of results for that phrase, it looks as though that phrase might be more relevant, at least right now, before the product is established. So, that phrase may be one to target. But, because there are more sites that come up for that phrase, it will be harder to achieve than the other.

So, the point of the purple marshmallow razorback pajamas page seems to be showing that before you decide to pay someone a cheap price to make you rank for a specific phrase, you should really determine what is actually being searched for in the search engines.

After all, who cares if you rank number one for a phrase that nobody is searching for? I could charge you $10.00 a month per phrase and show you the proof that you are ranking for that phrase when in reality it takes only a few minutes to make a page rank for a specific phrase. I spent about fifteen minutes writing this post and hopefully it ranks for Erasails now.

The real results, take more effort and more time to produce and thus cost more for the service.

Bottom line - never pay for results unless you get a report from the search marketer showing what phrases are actually being searched!
